I have already installed DigiCert Desktop Client, but in the final step it says "I do not have a certificate". Is it everything ok?
DigiCert Desktop Client is an application that facilitates the management and use of digital certificates.
You need a personal and VALID certificate to operate (sign, transfer, etc), which must be issued by your institution.
What browsers/explorers and operating systems can I use?
DigiCert Desktop Client can operate with several browsers such as: Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Brave. It is neccessary to use an updated version of them.
DigiCert Desktop Client is compatible with Windows 8+, MacOS (10.13+ High Sierra) and some distributions of Linux.
Even though these are the compatible systems, it should be accessed with the systems supported by the portal or channel of your institution.
I have already installed DigiCert Desktop Client, but it still asks me to download it again. What do I do?
Windows: Verify that DigiCert Desktop Client is running (the icon should be visible in the Taskbar Notification Area, which can be found by default, in the lower right corner of your computer screen). If it is not there, find DigiCert Desktop Client in your applications list and run it.
MacOS: Verify that DigiCert Desktop Client is running (the icon should be visible in the Menu Bar, which can be found by default, in the top right area of your computer screen). If it is not there, open the applications "Launcher", find DigiCert Desktop Client in your applications list and run it.
The process stopped at "Reset/Enable Browser" and does not proceed. What do I do?
1) Click the button [Install Plugin], which can be found in the lower right corner of this screen and follow the instructions. These instructions depend on the browser being used.
- This site allows the installation and upgrade of the components needed to perform a signature or request a certificate.
- Complete each of the requested steps and, if you have a certificate, perform a final verification to determine that everything is properly installed.
